Foreign Policy
    Tunisia has had a Co-operation Agreement with the European Community since 1978. This agreement gives Tunisia a preferential trade regime for its exports of the Community's member states.  Tunisia also signed the Barcelona Declaration in 1995. 
    On 17th July 1995, Tunisia became the first Mediterranean country to sign a new Association Agreement with the EU which will replace its existing C´-operation agreement when it is ratified and starts to work.
